The Community Services team at Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. believes that there should be an array of options for individuals to make informed choices. This is why the Community Services team is committed in providing an array of quality services. We listen to you to support your needs, wants and desires to obtain and maintain community employment and tailor the services to your needs.

The Community Services team offers job shadows, job tours and job assessments if you are not sure of their career interest. This will provide you with more knowledge of the job market in order to make a more informed career decision. The Community Services team can assist you from the very beginnings of your choice to pursue employment until you feel our services are no longer needed. We will assist you in obtaining, training and maintaining your job.

Everyone, regardless of the level or the type of disability, has the capability, right and responsibility to decide how to create income and establish important community and personal relationships in order to live a meaningful life in the community. We recognize that individuals are the leaders in service and support design and we develop the services and supports in accordance with direction from the individual. Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. was established in 1963 and has been "Working to Give Richland County Our Best" ever since.

As a CARF accredited agency, we maintain annual outcome measurements. We are dedicated to the highest standards for quality and performance. Though we are proud of our outcomes for 2005, we will continue to strive for continuous quality improvement of our services and supports.

Service Access:
Our goal to increase the number of referrals to 60 for 2005 was exceeded. We increased our referrals to 115.

Effectiveness:
We exceeded our goal to increase income for individuals in community jobs. Our average hourly wages exceed the statewide average hourly wage of $6.68 for eligible individuals. Individuals hourly wage averaged almost $7.00 per hour.

Effectiveness:
We fell short of our goal to place an additional 60 individuals at a community employment site by one. We placed 59 individuals.

 
Effectiveness:
We met our goal for 79% of individuals maintaining their job placement for at least 90 days.

Satisfaction:
100% of surveys returned by individuals employed indicated satisfaction with service.

Satisfaction:
98% of surveys returned by employers indicated satisfaction with services.
