Connect and Work in The Local Community

Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. (RNI, Inc.) equips individuals with disabilities with the skills they need to live and work in their local communities. We're committed to helping people explore their community and build relationships through innovative work and community connections.

Employment

Our Integrated Employment program assists individuals through a variety of services in preparation for employment. Individuals participate in a range of opportunities including but not limited to: employability classes, drivers permit training, customized employment, job readiness training, benefit analysis, self-employment planning launch, career discovery, job development, job coaching, follow-up services, and career exploration.

Individuals are currently being trained and equipped for work in medical, hospitality, adult care, retail, food service, and manufacturing industries in Richland, Crawford, and surrounding counties.

Transition Youth

Students with disabilities who have completed all educational requirements but have deferred their diploma for one year may be eligible for our workforce development program in partnership with Pioneer Career and Technology Center.

Skill Development

RNI, Inc. works with developmentally disabled adults to develop the skills needed for day-to-day life. Our staff helps each person pursue their personal interests, dreams, hobbies, and core skills by developing a plan and working with them to execute that plan.

Services include:

Learning daily living skills, motor skills, educational skills and social skills
Community Outings to amusement parks, fairs, festivals, sporting events, shopping, museums, exercise, creativity through art, discover animals and more
Volunteering at various food pantries, library, Humane Society, folding newsletters, etc.
Self-Advocacy classes, trainings, lectures, and empowerment. Active groups include: Aktion Club, People First, Project Stir and Workers Council

A seniors group is available for adults aged 55 and older.

Transportation

RNI, Inc. provides transportation to and from all RNI, Inc. locations as well as community employment sites. Our transportation fleet of 14 vehicles provides safe, reliable, and efficient transportation throughout Richland, Crawford, and Ashland counties via four buses and nine vans. With over 140 years of combined driving experience, our caring family of transportation drivers and aides will ensure you get where you need to go safely and comfortably.
